Hi Guys - I'm looking at a Kioti 2024 CK4020H for $22k. I'm getting a loader, canopy, shredder and third point fuction for less than a Kubota 3302HST. The Kioti dealer I'm buying from is 3 hours away but there is dealer 45 mins from my property. I'm struggling on which way to go. Financially speaking, the Kioti is the choice. But I can't find too much on the Kioti CK4020 so looking for help from Kioti CK4020 owners on here.
I've driven a JD 3032e and a Kubota 3301 but never a Kioti. I plan on looking at it for the first time this Saturday. So any experience with the CK4020 or Kubota 3302 is helpful. I have 70 acres mesquite flat 35 acres, 35 acres of wood cover. I plan on doing some clearing of about 2- 5 acres of my mesquite flat to have a shallow tank and plant sunflowers for dove hunting, which is my passion.

How distant are the Kubota and Deere dealers from your land?

The Kioti dealer I'm buying from is 3 hours away but there is dealer 45 mins from my property.

Almost all tractor dealers are all independent businesses.
If you need warranty work the chances are 50%/50% you will have to haul your tractor four segments of three hours each (12 road hours) for warranty service.


Tractor manufactures only reimburse dealers for warranty repairs at dealer cost ("0" or minimal dealer profit for warranty service) for parts and labor, that is why a dealer not involved with original tractor sale may be tepid about providing warranty service to non-customers or refuse warranty service to non-customers outright.

The selling dealer gets cream.

The warranty service dealer gets buttermilk.​

A quality dealer, reasonably close, available for coaching, is important for tractor neophytes. Most new tractors are delivered with a glitch or two requiring correction. My Kubota dealer is six miles away. I feel my local dealer continues to add value to my equipment after seven years. Dealer proximity is less important for those experienced with tractors and qualified to perform their own maintenance.

Most tractors under 3,000 pounds bare weight operate in residential or hobby farm applications on one to ten flat acres.

Hi Jeff - I did find a Kioti dealer 45 mins away if I need to get it serviced. My neighbor bought a Case from them so his opinion was positive feedback. But I do see your point about the convenience of having your dealer close by. Its a tough decision for sure. I just hope I don't get a lemon and if I do, I'll need to buy a trailer which is another $2k to haul it. Thanks for sending the YouTube link. I haven't seen that one.

The distant from a JD and Kubota dealer are 15-20mins

I would plan on your service and any potential warranty work being done by the dealer you bought the machine from. Get the local dealer to price match the far away dealer as best you can.

Asking another dealer to cover everything for you is possible, but a little rude. I did it myself, but only because I bought my tractor used on the other side of the state. I had to pay a $50 warranty transfer fee and didn't really feel like their top priority in the shop.

Otherwise, the CK4020 is an awesome machine. It's a bigger and stronger machine than an L3302 (loader lift especially)
