Jim, maybe NOW is the time to contact the Georgia AG. I can understanding in trusting in the Lord to help with this but the repair shop is not on the same wavelength. Let me see, they doubled the repair charge, when you couldn't pay that they started charging for letting your machine sit in their yard, and broke parts they weren't working on? If they were located next door to you or in Colorado, makes no difference if they, really, took advantage of your kind nature. Laws are there for keeping things fair between people, at least they were mostly intended for that. The repair shop can't get you now, you got your machine back. The way I see it, they owe you. I'm not one to like a confrontation either but the AG's office probably doesn't shy away from that kind of thing.

Nice trailer; hope you have years of a trouble free tractor.

I am looking at the same type Gooseneck. In NC I have to have a "Classified A" license for anything over 10,000lb. Already talked with county DMV and confirmed on the state level. What do you have to have in SC? )</font>

I have Class A Commercial Drivers License and yes they do require this in South Carolina. I have had CDL's since 1983 and drove a 18 wheeler for about 7 years across country. I have gotten to see alot more our our beautiful country with my CDL status than most people get to see in a lifetime. Sure makes you appreciate what we have in the United States.

As far as the tractor... I am sure it is OK now but I am weary of this tractor and will probably sell it and get one size or so bigger. I have noticed that it had a lope in it in $ wheel drive when I first got it. It doesn't have that now... so maybe that meant it was already like this when I purchased it. It has been repaired and is in excelent working order now and I will use it to plant this springs crop. Then maybe in time I will get a larger tractor. I do hope if I decide to keep it.... that it will bring many years of service. Lord knows that the beginning has been terrible so it has to be better. I took a man with me when I picked up the tractor that really knows tractors and he inspected it with a fine tooth comb and says it was in excellent shape just like NEW! This is Great News. Only thing we can fine is they did not change the oil and filter like they said they would and they messed up the PTO Clutch. Other than that.... It is fine.

I agree... but my Grandmother always told me the more you stir it the more it stinks. LOL and this is true in most cases.

However, after being treated this way... I am sure not to ever trade with them again. I have learned a lot from this ordeal and the next time I will NOT make the same mistakes. It has made me very tough to deal with and very untrustful in what people tell me. I have always taken a person at their word until proven wrong until now. Now I am very suspicious of anything. I hate living in a world like this. A person should stick to their word no matter what in my book. Unfortunately we don't live in a world like that for the biggest part. They are still a few of us left that will keep their word no matter what!! It's a sad time when people put money and greed before doing the right thing. I will continue to search for a dealer that can be trusted and that will do what they say they will no matter what. Just maybe I will find one.

Thanks Scotty!

I know I will baby this tractor and treat it like fine China. I shouldn't have to but with parts being hard to find and labor charges like they are... I have to make this tractor last until I find another I feel more comfortable with and know that there will be parts for it. Also having one or two sizes larger wouldn't hurt anything.

It sure is nice to have her (tractor) back. Who knows... I may have not found as nice of trailer if this had not happened to me.

I have to look at it this way or it would drive me crazy. Like others... I do not like to pay for something I shouldn't have to pay for. I am not proud of the fact I feel like this ordeal has changed me in the way I trust people. Maybe in time I will get over this... but in business dealings and trading/buying equipment... I will be much harder to deal with. I will probably be very aggressive in my searchs and very thorough in my research and dealings. I will NOT make the same mistakes I made in the past!

Keep us in your prayers.

Sincerely,
Jim Bonham
