Around here 70 year old Ford 8N’s bring $2000-3000. I think that Kioti with diesel, 4WD, loader, plus a bush hog is worth $5K.

Plan on buying a new rear rim if you can get one. Tires are probably loaded with Calcium and the tube has a leak. Looks like the owner has already replaced one rim but the other one is going to need it as well.

That would certainly seem to make a LOT of sense!

Asking $5k, will probably take $4500, seems like a pretty reasonable price. If it starts up, doesn't smoke, whine, or rattle, has power steering, I would take it. Not sure what distance you have to go, but you could travel a lot and not see better. If you can drive it, only takes a few minutes to test the clutch, gears, and brush hog. Personally, I don't leave my equipment outside, but maybe this owner does not have enough inside storage space. In this case, it is very important to drain ALL fluids asap, before putting it to extended use. I have taken a chance over a dozen times with older, neglected tractors and never regretted it. And never had to buy a dealer part. Good luck.

Check the steering box under the steering wheel really good. If it has been left outside all its life water can get in them and freeze cracking the box. A new one is more than your going to pay for the tractor.

I'm sure you're all biting your nails wondering how it went. I ended up passing on the tractor, it had a lot of little things wrong, and some bigger things. I'm still looking, thanks for the advice.
