To take pressure off the lines on my kubota backhoe I just simply turn off my engine. Reason is that it has a power beyond hose that is constantly flowing while running. The kioti may be the same way.

Outriggers just on the ground enough to take the weight. bucket on ground for balance. Remove locking pins for sub frame If pins are tight /hard to pull out you can simply push the reverse pedal a little or use the bucket curl to remove pressure on pins. Once pins are out simply drive forward slowly just enough to release subframe.. Adjust backhoe to what ever position you want it and then turn remote lever to middle position For safety reasons I always shut the machine off but with the switch to the middle/off position you can remove the HYD lines and then drive the tractor away from the backhoe.

Just to be sure, is this the hole?

To take the pressure off the lines: with the backhoe remote in neutral or better yet engine off, cycle both joysticks till the unit settles, pressure is relieved. Disconnect the lines. If you don't do this you will never be able to reconnect the lines with out relieving the pressure. You are not strong enough. If you have the backhoe disconnected with pressure in the lines as I once did. You will have to relieve the pressure by loosening the fitting at the QD or depressing the tip of the QD on a hard flat surface. Both should be done with a rag around them or you will get wet. This I knew and did not get wet.
I am not sure how your DK's are laid out but on my CK the hydro filter is located right above the backhoe frame rail. Before driving away from the hoe I make sure that it is balanced so the front of the hoe frame will not lift and crush the filter when driving off. To help with this the top of the front receiver is about 3" longer than the bottom. This lets the hoe frame disconnect from the tractor and not lift. Now I can lower the frame away from the tractor. My dealer warned me of this and I have not crushed a filter yet.

Sorry, all... I unfortunately had started another thread in the Hydraulics section and forgot about this one. I got the back hoe off. Turns out that hole (yes the one you have indicated xfaxman) was NOT the leak. My "eyes" let me down but she usually is good at that, so I aint mad. The actual leak was from the spool. I disassembled the control valve section and removed the block in question. I got the spool out and discovered my only problem was a failed o-ring. It was dark and cold, so I haven't put it back together yet, but I will keep everyone updated. I appreciate all the help/advice. Bummer I broke it the first day, but at a repair cost of like 50 cents (for two O-rings) I think I will count my blessings.

You didn't break it.
It must have been ready to blow.
The backhoe relief valves should go into relief before anything blows.
