As far as the hay bailing goes, you maybe better off just hiring that job out. The tractor requirments and baler cost will far outweigh the return on your small amount of pasture. You probably have neighbors that would do it for cash or half the hay.

Great advice there. If you are bailing hay you will need a utility sized tractor. Personally, I don't like anything under 4500 # in tractor weight for bailing hay. Lots of front and back motion from the bailer. A cut is not best suited for bailing.

i appriciate the thoughts. the place is coming with a bailer/rake that looks to have been used on an old olie. all that is in red will be under my care plus i think the rest of the gravel to the road. There is about 100' of height between that creek bed and the neighbors house on the left. I suspect the left forth will be unCUT able. at the very least tricky there are plenty of beatle sized bolders lurking
