Did you go look at it?
No, not yet. Really just testing the waters to see if they are negotiable on their price. I do not see myself paying more than 40K for it. Anything more than that and I am leaning toward buying new with less attachments, but with a warranty and brand new tractor. Will update when I get a response.

Well, guessing they didn't like my offer. They said they would get back to me... crickets chirping. Maybe they will reach out to negotiate on the price. The ball is in their court. Guess I will start looking at other options. At least I have figured out what size tractor I am wanting. Definitely going to keep looking at the MX tractors. If by chance they contact me and we figure out a deal I will update this thread.

Probably will try contacting them tomorrow to at least get an idea what they are thinking. Kind of strange they said they would get back to me and then not hear anything from them today. I was able to figure out they have had this tractor listed since February. I guess they are in no hurry to sell it and they think someone is gonna give them their asking price. I feel I gave a fair offer on it so it's strange they wouldn't get back to me with some sort of answer. I would think they would be more willing to negotiate since it has been listed for 3 months and not sold. Frustrating.

I'd take the time to go look at a dealers options now. You put the ball in their court.

Ouch, just got a message saying they are adamant about the $45,500 price. Dang. Would be nice if they at least said their "price is firm" in the listing!

Immediately after she responded and I said "no problem, thanks" she marked it "SOLD". I'm guessing they changed their mind about selling after all. Or they are going to relist it.

Does anyone think it was actually worth paying $45,000!? I really wanted that set up, but I guess I didn't want it that much! Especially for something that has sat for so many years versus buying brand new.

Guess I'm back to square one and will start looking at brand new options!

As a seller, you have to have a moonshot price.

Personally, if I am spending over 20k on a farm machine, I'd have to go new for warranty and servicing purposes.

I have missed out on stuff I wanted to buy in the past. I’ve learned to never feel bad when you DIDN'T spend your money.

Agreed. For that kind of money I would be shopping dealers for new.

Totally agree. For that kind of $$ why would you even consider buying what may be someone else痴 problems. Sitting is harder on most equipment than using it. Seals dry out, rubber rots, crap grows in the fuel tank, rodents get to it, etc, etc. Different strokes for different folks I guess-I personally would be very leery at $35k To many unknowns and no warranty😳
