Good advise on the Lincoln SP line of welders. Have a SP125 and love it. The only problem is that I wish it was a SP175 or bigger.

Miller/Hobart make good products too although people that I know that have used both prefer the SP line.

A 110v unit is only good for up to about 1/8" thick steel with a knowledgable user. If you are using heavier metal get at least a 175 or 225 amp unit.

Go to a commercial welding supplier to get knowledgable sales people and after sale service.

Did you get in on the great HH 180 "bonus kit" sale at TSC? I picked one of those up last weekend. The HH 180 seems like a great machine!
