I survived a german Shepard attack as a 7 year old little boy walking along my country road with my fishing pole.
The owner of the dog’s daughter was riding her horse nearby and was able to pull the dog away. Then the parents came. If they hadn’t, I would have probably died. 75 stitches to the face/neck, arm & ankle.
My brother told me my mom begged my dad to stop as he loaded his gun and left for the neighbors house to shoot the dog. It worked. The dog was spared, but it attacked another dog and a tow truck driver who came to get their car started.
He got 88 stitches. Finally the dog was put to sleep.
