I have a hand truck. Has pneumatic tires. Tires "hold" air but are evidently cheap tires (or tubes) and over time, lose 100% of everything so, when I need the stupid thing, they're flat. (I'm now noticing that my return key isn't work to create a new paragraph so.... on I'll type) I'm going to be hopefully moving in a couple weeks, need to use the hand truck. If I fill it with air today, it will be flat by then. What if instead, I buy some of that flat in a can stuff and use it. My intent would be to essentially foam fill the tire (if possible) so I can make them fairly solid tires. Anything I can buy at the store to fill them so they'll be usefull to me? Ironically, I bought this so I could move to Florida and left my appliance dolly with strap at the house in Tennessee (with solid tires). I have some huge things and could use the strap. I'm considering buying yet another and dumping this thing however, I DO like that I can convert it to a 4-wheeled carriage and stack things on it. Sorry for the single paragraph, return key still not working (works on other sites)

I have that problem with cheapo wheels/tires from Harbor Freight on my generator. I tried the regular green slime, but it didn't really help a lot - only slowed down the slow leak.

My brother was having trouble with the pneumatic tires on his generator until he cut out some wooden wheels from some 2x? and did away with the pneumatics.

Richard....I have the same problem with a tire on my yard trailer and one tire on one of my garden tractors...I went to walmart and bought a can of "Slime...Quick spair " flat tire repair and it works great....it is especially for slow leaks...comes in a green can with yellow band at top...

I have an appliance dolly at the house in Knoxville. You know, the truck with the strap. That is what I need. Prior to moving to Florida (while keeping the house in TN), I bought another one so I could use it to move AND still have the unit at the house. The one I bought was one of those that converts to four wheels on ground so you can stack boxes (like UPS) and just push or pull it like a trailer.

Knowing this will frustrate me (having a flat tire) and frankly, realizing that the appliance dolly will work MUCH better for my needs, I just returned from a craigslist transaction.

I just bought a new looking but used appliance dolly with a strap up high and a strap down low. Additionally, it has a fold out bar/platform to extend the front so you can stack boxes if you want.

Solid tires.

Now I'll do the move and after its done, sell it (or more likely, sell my original one and the convertible one, keeping this one)

I notice that my carriage return now works. Strange.

The tires on my handtruck used to go flat all the time. I put tubes in them over a year ago, and they haven't lost any air since.

The green slime will do the trick. I use it all the time for stuff that always seems to have a flat or two after sitting.

I only learned recently that there are 2 different green slimes (for tubed versus tubeless). Make sure you get the right one depending on your situation.

Put tubes in them. Green slime will eventually rust the rims out.

I have a hand truck with the same problem. I can air the one tire up, and 2 or 3 days later it's flat again. I've never put anything in it, just air it up when I need to use it.
