As many know on here, I have a Yanmar 169D tractor. Ever since I bought it, It has been leaking oil badly onto the garage floor. So I decided it was time to fix it. Yesterday, I started taking it apart, getting the wheel off and such and finally today My grandpa and I got it off to fix it. I took lots of pictures. Anyway, we got it off and got the seals out that are no good anymore. Tomarrow my grandpa is going to go to Napa to see it he can get the seals so i can get my tractor back together so i can earn some $$$ with it doing small jobs. What i'm wondering is that if I can get the seals from Napa, does anyone on here sell these seals? I checked hoye tractor's site and found nothing so far.

Better luck getting the seals from 1 of the dealers on the yanmar forum

Jacob- I see your in "small town USA", but, I've found that for bearings, seals, gears, etc. I'm best off at a local Bearing Shop. If you can read the lettering on a bearing 'race' or seal that you need, your halfway to more reasonably priced replacements! Whether Fafnir, Timken, etc. most dealers have cross indexs that can save you big!! Even would make surfing for parts easier. Look for the numbers!!! Best Regards! ~Scotty

If you will go to Fredricks Equipment on line and look under front axle they list #s for your tractor. Don't know if they stock them but part #s are threre. Hope this helps. Have to scroll way down.

Hey thanks guys, I printed the bearings and seals sheet off of Fredricks Importing and highlighted the bearings and seals that will fit my Yanmar. They are under the 1401D but since the 1401D is the 169D's cousin from Japan, the parts are the same.

Just remember Jake, The Yamar part number, is not the bearing number, for cross fitting purposes! Follow me? ~S

Well, I got the seals ordered. They should be here by Saturday. :)

Good deal. I guess you've looked at the sealing area real good and have no grooving or pitting going on. Seals have to have a pretty smooth surface to seal on. Good luck to you and grandpa.

Thanks. Here is the diagram we used and the smaller one I drew. It makes perfect sense to me.
