In this day and age, that always seems very unusual to me, but it may not be as unusual as I've thought. My wife's mother, and her sister, have never driven a car. I couldn't forward this to my sister and a sister-in-law in Minneapolis quick enough!!! Love it!
Bird, My wife used to drive, but due to a medical condition, she gave up her drivers license, and driving, several years ago. No arguement from me, she never put more than a hundred or so miles a year on a vehicle, and it's much cheaper owning one, much less the five that we used to have when the older kids were still at home!

Ain't it the truth!/w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif When we had our two kids still at home, I as maintaining 3 cars (part of the time, 2 cars and a pickup) for them and my wife, and a motorcycle for me. Of course, I also had the city car then, but thank goodness, didn't have to do the maintenance on it./w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif
