Most flights, declared on FlightAware, are commercial or General Aviation. Most/ much of the really fun stuff, unless on training flights, out of Wright Patt or Edwards, etc are not documented on FlightAware. Can you imagine seeing a declared U-2 or B-2 fly out of Holloman AFB and heading overseas? Nothing like giving somebody a big heads up.

A pic of a F35C signed by Lockheed's test pilot, Jon Beasley, who flew the first ever flight in a JSF. Spent 20+ years around these types of aircraft. Fun times to see these awesome tools up close and in the air.

Just poking around and saw this Airbus A380 taking this route from Dubai to Huston because the earth is flat and it was shorter....

Was fun watching these takoff and land when I was working on the flight line.
Bet they get a good view from so high.

Well, that's impressive. The tracking line went to dots as that indicates it's out of coverage and estimated. Then it simple stayed in the same spot for the past 10 minutes. So my guess is it is now so hight it's out of coverage and cannot be estimated. Pretty neat.

I got to fly in corporate type jets a couple of times. It’s pretty amazing at 43,000 feet to look down and see the common folks in their Delta or AA winged buses.

Friday was busy day. I found:

6 - KC135 tankers
1 - E3 Sentry
2 - E4Bs
1 - RC135 Rivet Joint
2 - C17 Globemasters
A bunch of T38 Talons
And that U2.

And that is one big lot of tankers.

How do you find these flights Moss?

I go onto Flghtradar and pick something interesting (large or unusual) and I'm on the free version.

We are close to Portsmouth NH where the new KC-46 is based and see and hear a lot of interesting planes in the sky but nothing shows on Flightradar.

I hear noise, check the app and say "yep a couple T38's... and that U2 isn't showing up on the app as usual"

but then I'm right down the road from the base...
