I'd put my water hose in it and use it like a siphon.

This. A garden hose will take longer than the shop-vac hose method, but it's much easier to get the siphon started. Just put one end of the hose in the boat, lay the rest of the hose on the ground, and take a good long, deep suck on the other end. Unless you have a very long hose, that should be enough to get the siphon started. If you need to take multiple sucks, put your thumb over the end as you quickly take another breath, to keep the water you have sucked into the hose from falling out. This works best with a shorter garden hose, like a 15-footer, if you have one, because you have to suck less.

Fastest water pump in the world is a man in a sinking boat with a 5 gallon bucket. Seriously, you could scoop out enough water in 10 minutes to turn the boat.

I've never seen a small boat that didn't have a drain plug at the bottom of the transom.

Drain plug, huh? I thought there ought to be something like that in there, but couldn't see one. I'll ask the water-boatmen to look around. Since they're swimming down there anyway, they might as well be useful.

I think this is like one of the silliest questions I have ever seen posed on this TBN.
Anyone who did not know all of the answers put forward on this thread already should have their man card taken away.

You should be able to see the drain hole from the outside of the boat. If there is just reach in and take it out.

You know ............ I've got it ......... The question had to do with using the FEL to do the job ............. put the bale spear on and have a stab at it .......... that'll let the water out and give you seat time at the same time. Of course it may be a bit harder on the boat, but at least you get to use the tractor.

there is a drain plug in the back of the boat near the floor of the boat.
