Fluid running down inside of front tire... what to check

My FIL's JD 3038e had the same issue...oil leaking down inside the tire and the problem was the upper pivot point seals. He paid over $600 USD to have JD fix it (off warranty) and I watched a youtube video of a guy changing the seals on a small Massey. They are stupid easy to replace and I told my FIL next time we're saving the $$$ and doing it ourselves!! Definitely not as complicated as the industrial machinery I work on every day!
