Hobart 210 MVP can use 110/120 or 220/240 runs flux core decent, mig.better, mine came with a spool gun included for aluminum still a learning process although I use it enough I justified buying a 190 Hobart for dedicated aluminum I've had the 210 practically since they first come out, not used every day but when I do use it I'll use it nonstop for a month sometimes less sometimes more. only problem I've ever experienced with that is one of the cooling fan bearings is starting to go. It's heavy but no chance I'll ever pull it off a work surface dropping it on ground. I've had to turn down the power on occasion cuz I blew thru fairly thick steel using both mig and fluxcore. always ran .035 wire in it. Although have a 10# spool of .030 migwire I'll probably use up when I exchange my empty tank. Id recommend wiring it at least a 50 amp receptacle for 220/240 Run single polec 30 amp breakers and adequate gauge wire for 110/ 120. volt. Most stores that sell Hobart have consumables for them so your not searching everywhere for them. 40 amp Hobart plasma cutter was a different story though. In my experience buy a Hobart you problaby will have no regrets. I never have.

I have 4 mig welders ,my newest is a arccaptain mig 200 which I feel is the best value because it does everything and does it well 110 or 220 and it's hard to beat the price. I welded for over 50 years and I was very impressed with how it welds stick on 110 same with flux core which is what i normally use but on 220 off a 8500 watt generator. The titanim 170 is also a good choice also the vulcan mig max 215 is very good choice, but arccaptain price you can't beat.

Hey everyone. It been a while since i been here.
So I still don't have a shop so all my welding is done out in the open. Been welding with a Lincoln Idealarc 250. Last year I purchased a little 120V YesWelder 135 flux core machine cool machine for less than $80.
Am thinking of buying a 220V machine mainly because every time I turn the heat on my little welder it keeps tripping the 20A circuit breaker.
I was thinking the YesWelder 250Pro. Wondering if anyone have experience with that model or any other cheap under 500 if possible lol.
I have a lincoln 140 120v mig/tig and i put it on its own 30amp receptacle, never had trip issues, you also shouldnt try running it on any cheap extension cord

I don't know what people consider a cheap extension cord (16 gauge?)... I use a 12 gauge 25 foot cord with no problems, and Hobart says I can use up to 50 ft. 12 gauge cord in its welder specs....

I got the Yeswelder MIG 250 Pro. is a 50ft 10Gauge enough? Should I purchase an 8 gauge?

That cable should serve you right up to maybe 90% of what the welder is capable of, then possibly limit the top end, slightly. But I don't expect you'll need to weld at such high output very much. Not a problem.

I ordered the 50ft 8 gauge. They sent me a 10 gauge. they offer me a partial refund soy they don't have to pay for shipping. Paid 98 they offer me a 67 refund. Think thats a good deal.
I didn't see anything on the manual in regards extension cords. It only say imput current max 34A eff 26.3A

I've been using a harbor Freight for 20+ years. From when it was mail order! It's a cheapie, but it does all the light work that the Thunderbolt XL stick doesn't need to do. Also have a little Lincoln that was given to me for when I am in a 115v only place.
Ive still got a Hobart HH 135 that I got from HF from back when I had to mail order. I do t use it a lot as it’s still usually easier to grab a stick for the Tombstone.
