Muhammad,

Why is it that the first time I click into a thread, some of the folders are already white when I know I have not yet read them? Sometimes the first post will be yellow and opened and some of the subsequent posts are yellow and some are white? HHHHHEEEELLLLPPPP!

Ok, here's a little clarification...

With this forum, the yellow folders are there to indicate new messages since you last viewed that form, not really as ‘read’. When I say, ‘mark as read’ that is more a technical term than literal.

So, when you load the index of a forum, say, Attachments for example, that marks all messages and threads in that forum as 'not new anymore’ or time for white folders, not yellow. So, if you exit the forum having viewed a forum, marking all messages as 'not new anymore', and then return when there are new messages, those new messages will have yellow folders. The reason the initial message in a thread will have a yellow folder is for those who view in collapsed mode.

I will look into adding a ‘screen guide’ that lets users know what the yellow folders mean.

Muhammad,

Thank you! /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif I totally understand now and won't think that someone else is viewing under my name! Or a ghost or something.
