Ford 1210 front axle ring gear swoop wrong way!!

Crazy!!!!
I broke some teeth on my front axle ring and pinion ring and sourced replacements from salvage yard in Canada years ago they sent one and the gear grooves swoop the wrong way I sent it back thinking they sent the wrong part. I revisited it again earlier this year and talked to a nice guy Devon and Chaulkers and he had one he was going to send I had him take a photo before he sent it and same thing.
My gear swoops different than all the others I find. So weird!!!
Any thoughts???

Perhaps the camera/phone is reversing the image. That's an option on my phone.

That's a very good point. I've got a couple pics of my grandaughters birthday cake, you wouldn't know it's a reverse image except for the "7" is backward. Good call Tin, hopefully that's the problem for the OP.

Re-read the post. They SENT him one with the direction wrong. Obviously, they are sending him gears made for Britain (wrong side of road) or Australia (upside down).

Canada doesn't drive on the wrong side of the road. Also, check to see if the carrier can be flipped end for end. Problem solved.

Most differentials have the pinion offset, but it looks like this tractor has a centered pinion, which means your idea might be possible

Another solution is to also buy the used mated pinion gear that ran with the used ring gear you’re looking to buy.
Running your old pinion with a different old ring gear isn’t optimum for tooth contact.

Last option: have a competent shop weld-up repair the three bad teeth on your ring gear, assuming your pinion is fine.

Inside the housing is a "Carrier" with bearings on each side. The ring gear bolts to the carrier. If you remove the carrier and exchange sides, the ring gear is reversed.

This is a carrier.

This is the carrier flipped end for end.
