No idea, but we got it at an auction where it was advertised as having a working PTO. The remnants of the PTO clutch inside this thing make it very clear that whoever brought it to the auction knew darn well that it was 100 percent shot, and had been for a while. Oh well, we went from never having owned a tractor to splitting one in half in a couple of weeks, and you sure start to get familiar with stuff when you dive this far into it! While its open and easy to get at we decided to change the rear main seal as well, but things get a little fuzzy here. The Ford factory repair manual refers to 3 different rear main seals (2 are red and one is black), and all 3 have different recommended depths that they should be installed at. The I&T manual only refers to one seal that goes in .060 inch. The existing seal in our tractor is a Ford seal (CSNE-6701-B2 SGA 40943) and is orange in colour and is installed flush. When I get the new seal and the rest of the parts for the clutch job, I sure hope there will be instructions as to depth!
