I am very curious if the weep hole with the cotter pin is plugged. The cotter pin is there so grass, etc. jiggles it to keep it clear and weeping. There shouldn't be fluid on the clutch. You can stick a short piece of wire in there beside the cotter pin to make sure it is draining. Also, catch some of whatever is leaking in a jar to show us. It looks more like clean engine oil in the video to me. Do you have blow by going on? Pull the dip stick and put your finger on the hole to see if you have pressure in your oil pan. Have a helper to keep the run time down on that engine. I assume the blue color we are seeing at the point of leakage is the paint and the leak is spraying the oil build up residue off?

Tom, definitely not engine oil. At first I thought it was diesel mixed with oil, but now I think it may be UTF? I may be very wrong though. Yes blue color is where the pumping out liquid has washed a clean spot. Hard to tell in video, but that is the timing inspection plate from what I have been told.
Engine oil looks great, still clean and at good level, so I am sure it is definitely not from the engine. I will check the cod pin. I should clarify, I mean some sort of blow by from the transmission.

Soundguy-- the 1st photo gives an idea where it is, see yellow arrow. Big tire in back and small tire is front (that's a mr obvious statement if I ever heard one).

It is on the mid point of the bell housing facing the front. on the "passenger" side. You can see it if the contrast is right on the monitor you are using. I am thinking rear main if that is the case as the fluid is clearly not oil.... but man it smells like diesel, so very strange. I know enough to know there shouldn't be any diesel there, but maybe I was missing something. And it is pumping out like it is pressurized behind it. the plate itself appears to be an inspection port of some sort. Could a seal blow that majorly that it pumps hydraulic fluid into the bell housing like this? You can see it flows so heavy it cleaned the bell housing around the little plate, look for the pretty clean blue area around the little plate.

By cap I mean the tranny level bolt cap, I checked that for fluid level, as I said it looked to be 3/4 inch higher than the fill hole on the side. High, but not that high.

Can Hydraulic smell like diesel over time? This truly smalls like diesel. I know it should be impossible...

When I viewed the post only the close up pic showed, thus with your remark I'll be putting you on ignore now

Sound-- I can only hope you will see this as you said you were ignoring me-- As I mentioned to the other gent in here, my "mr obvious" comment was actually directed at myself for pointing out the super obvious regarding the tires in the photo I posted, it was a self deprecating sarcastic statement aimed at myself, not aimed at you in any way. Sarcasm can be poorly conveyed in type, and I realize you probably read this and thought it was directed at you, my apologies if this was offensive to you. I am sorry my sense of humor was not conveyed across this platform. If you choose to ignore me it will be my loss I am sure.

I am not sure why only the close up pic showed, I made effort to be clear and concise with my picture and arrow diagram.

Chris-- I sent him a PM, thanks, forgot about PMs, some of the other forums block it all if you ignore...

Lets chalk it up to board weirdness not showing the first pic initially when I viewed it, or ufo's or something.. and get on with adressing the issues...

Trans is way way way overfull.

Could be more than 60% water in there judging from color and level under the cap!

Sound- Glad to see ya! Thanks for responding! I don't know about aliens causing the photo glitch, as long as there are no probes involved I guess we can blame them.... moving on...
I actually watched the UTF in the tranny expand over the course of the day. I would not think it possible if i did not see it myself. It was 2 inches lower that morning. We did have really heavy rains the week before and the poor girl was left out during the storms. Would you think it a good step at this point to drain, look for the water permeation and refill the transmission and differential back to proper level and see if this does the trick?? I am praying I don't have to bust her apart and change tranny seal or any other seal for that matter. If it is just water expanding the UTF and not a massive seal blown somewhere that would be fantastic!
I ran it a few minutes and tested the clutch, not slipping yet...

Oil looks fine in motor, I don't think it is related to main engine seal at this point (I hope). What do you think, how should i best proceed?

the reason the oil expanded is it was blended with the water to make an emulsion.. and then it started entraining air to make a big emulsified oily milkshaky froth like whipped cream..

if it was mine. i'd drain the sump, and also clean that bellhousing drain.

i'd sacrifice a can of spray brake cleaner into the dry bellhousing area and let it drip into a bucket.

for the trans sump.

drain it.

then refill with a couple gallons diesel, and 4 pints rubbing alcohol and a quart of atf fluid.

drive around the yard a couple laps.. let it slosh and fling around the gears good.

then drain.

the diesel will cut the emulsion.. the atf is full of detergents to suspend solids and adds a lil lube to the diesel...and the alcohol is a polar solvent.. water is poalr.. so it will disolve the water..

Sound, I dig the recipe. Makes perfect sense to me. I never thought utf would froth that much. Lesson learned. May I infer that the seals are probably okay then?
The other gent on here spoke higly of your knowledge. I must say i agree with him (not being sarcastic > hah hah, big ol grin!) Thats going to be my inside joke w you from now on....)

Think I need to do anything to the differential?

On an ot subject, I need the crush washer that seal the line in to the injector pump. Leaks a bit, any suggestions where to find online?
