Ford 4000su steering issue

This is my motor with all the timing dots lined up of course number one is to the right so should it crank like it is now once I put my head on it an check valve lash

And I forgot to ask is my flywheel supposed to have a dial pin in it

Found the marks all these marks are so I can adjust the valve lash with the head on it basically right

Turn the crank until the arrow on the plate is lined up on 19 degrees and you have all of your timing dots lined up. At this time, with the injection pump gear installed, you can time your pump by lining up the lines on the ear of the injection pump and bolt it down. This does allow you to adjust #1 intake and exhaust valve lash, but lash adjustment is not the purpose at this point.

I got you now I think I haven't put my head on yet and I also have already lined all my timing dots it's sitting dead on Tdc right now I just haven't put the flywheel or head on yet

Ok tractor tech I have all my dots lined up perfect and 19 on the flywheel is an inch off in either direction. Idk how my gears would be off they all only go one way it's like the Bolt holes in the crankshaft aren't the same as the old one

Also at Tdc should I look in the oblong hole and see a 19 or should it only read 19 if its turned some

The timing dots when #1 is at TDC lined up. That set the basic timing.

To set the injection pump timing, you turn the flywheel to 19 deg. BTC, then bolt the injection pump gear with the mark on the gear and the mark on the injection pump flange lined up. Bolt the pump up so that the external timing marks line up.

Since you didn't take the pump off of the gear, then lining up all of the dots at TDC should get you set.

Another quick question I know I can time a diesel on the exhaust side and have it 180 and it's easy to do how would you know by just looking at it
