Being a bit naive & overly-optimistic, I underestimated the time it would take to finish up the smaller items & get the boom back into place. (I have decided to make sure everything else necessary to the BH functioning properly are all complete & double-checked before gathering buddies to help install the boom, so I still may be another few...well, no need to set a time-frame)!
Along with life's constant diversions & distractions - the heat has been pretty intense here in North Texas, so forgive my slow progress - I promise I am putting in all the time I can. I have made a couple more revisions in the plumbing (using old water-hose in every configuration), but I feel confident these few changes will be the last. I have both return lines completed, site gauge installed, return filter, & a few other gadgets on the reservoir and hydraulic system.
I am proud to say that the original BH return fit perfectly in place even with all the modifications to the main frame. I have been experimenting with brackets to support the steel return pipes and hose clamps for the rubber lines. (the clamps I've found online are great, but they just won't work for several places I need them.
Finally, I spent time figuring out how to build solid brackets for my front fenders - it was pretty easy (I did look at as many pics as I could find, including NH site, but the clincher was figuring out a practical way to attach to the bottom of the spindles). If there is already a tried and true method, please let me know, because it took...a while for the light bulb to go on! Anyway, here's some progress, I have the whole weekend (most time in weeks), so maybe things will really start moving! Thanks!
