Ford Maverick Pickup?

I have the 4 door Ranger, was denied what I wanted, 2 door and 6' bed. I've never come close to the 7500# tow rating and highly doubt I ever will. I looked at the Maverick recently, and I need more bed than that.

I don’t think they make 2 door Rangers anymore.

Also no need for a real back seat so I got the extended cab with 6' bed
Just curious, do they still offer the rear seat delete? When I was looking at Rangers that was one thing I wanted.

I got just about the very last Supercab in the country. The new model in '24 is full 4-door only in the US. Some other markets around the world still have the supercab but not here so far. Not sure on the rear seat delete, but the cushions are easy to remove.

My son has a 2001 Ranger extended cab without the rear seats. Of course it's sitting in the driveway because he once again took my Maverick.

I'd be more interested in the gas version than buying the electric version because those batteries could be expensive to replace if even available 10 or so years from now.

I asked my Ford dealer if he could get the low price version Ford advertises. He said Ford never seems to give them any allotment of those...only the higher priced ones.
I'd be more worried about Ford electronics working after three years over batteries needing replacement in ten.

My son ordered one last year, took several months to come in, dealers had none in stock. I think his out the door price was around the 25k mark. His is a daily driver to work and errands. He has put about 10k or so miles on it in the 6-8 months he has had it. loves it. He has done some minor truck stuff (helped a friend or two move furniture, picked up landscaping supplies etc) and no complaints. He hasn't borrowed my trailer in a while so it must be working good. Then again he also has a small trailer so that and his new bed seems to meet his needs. He often comments that he is glad he purchased his only ever new ride.

Our freinds have 16k on there hybrid 4wd maverick and I asked how he liked it. Will report back. Rode in it last night and liked it.

Here's what our buddy says about his new maverick...It was perfect for my type of driving. Gas mileage being one of the biggest factors. I get 40mpg average and 50 in the summer. Yet versatile enough for some truck things. I tested a ranger also but it wasn’t right for me at the time. The next one will be more focused on things like towing, and hopefully they are making better mpg trucks by then.
