Ford Raptor- anybody have one?

To me, that is poor engineering. Why put a capable motor in a truck with a sub par drivetrain? It seems logical the drivetrain should be built to easily handle that engine and a little more. It is a very capable engine. I towed 10k lbs + over 300 mile round trip and was impressed. Averaged 8.8 mpg. I won't go as far to say it would walk away from the other trucks. The 3/4 ton GMC with the 6.2 pulled the same weight as I was and got a little better mileage, around 9.3. For a 1/2 ton truck to be hanging around the 3/4 ton gassers, I was impressed. I am disappointed to find out about the sub par driveline.

I cannot see on GM's site where the 6.2 is available in the 2500HD, even the Denali model. It only list the 360hp 6.0 and the 6.6 Dmax. Are you positive it was a 2500HD with a 6.2 ?

I will have to look harder. That would be a truck I would seriously consider purchasing. A nicely equiped 2500HD with a 6.2 would fit my needs perfectly.

Admittedly, i have not seen one on a lot. He ordered his truck. He wanted reg cab 4x4 with vinyl seats, rubber floor, power locks and windows. I am not sure of the gear but think it is 3.73.

Are you talking GM or Ford? Both have a 6.2L

I just found out i will be moving cattle in the eco boost truck again this weekend. The owner doez not normally do this but his dually is down again. He has a 2002 ford with the 7.3 that is having tranny issues again. Been a great truck, geeting tired at almost 300k miles. The eb truck is a reg cab 2wd with 3.73 gears i think. I had a prior post where i did about 300 miles of towing. As for the Raptor, a couple of them run around here. Funny thing is i never see them dirty! I used to want a lightning at one time and before that a 454ss silverado. Used to have a thing for fast trucks.

I still like that RAM1500 SRT10. I pretty much stick to 4x4's, but that is one 4x2 that would be fun!

So what are those 6.2? About 370ci?

Being as 1 L = 61.0237441 ci, a 6.2 L engine would be the same size as a 378.347213 ci engine.
Edit: Apparently the GM 6.2 is actually 6.16xxxxxxL so it has a displacement of ~376 ci
