I guess it's a California thing. My f250 is 10,000 on the door sticker and there was never any mention of wanting it any different.
Sometimes I forget how lucky I am to live in a state where these things aren't fussed over.
Nanny States thing....Please explain the 10K threshold?? I don't get out much...![]()
I think part of that is a result of most vehicles having EPS now and we are getting used to that. It's on most everything from 'half tons' on down. EPS maintains the direction much better than hydraulic, and doesn't let the wheels pull the direction. While I didn't like it at first, I'm so used to it now I don't like driving cars or trucks without it. It's amazing how EPS holds a track. However, EPS is not as durable for hard use compared to good old hydraulic.Another problem cropping up in F250s is feeling all the pot holes through the steering wheel. Seems they catch whichever wheel and jerk the steering wheel in that direction. My friend says his is bad enough to complain to Ford about it and it only has 12,000 miles. Ford told him "they all do it, nothing wrong" My friend says it reminds him of driving his old Willy's Jeep...
