Forum Upgrade - Any Issues?

There still seems to be many problems and quirks. My question is this. Is there someone trying to get things straightened out on their own, or do only the things that get reported get looked at and hopefully taken care of? :confused3:

My biggest complaint is when composing there are times when this happens. times when this happens. When you make a little bit longer post, this becomes this becomes very annoying. The summited post does not have the double wording, just in the composing section. What I find odd is that it doesn't always happen, more like it has a mind of it's own. Are you guys just messing with us?

Another bothersome thing is the smilies. I like them and all, but why when composing do they sometimes come up as code and other times as the actual figure?

Anyway, I get by, but was just wondering. :confused2:

Yea there working on them, they have a team doing it. Things change from week to week if you pay attenetion. The fixed the icons on the threads for example.

I was looking at Eddie Walker's thread re machu Pichu.....I was clearly looking at results 41 to 70, page 1, but it said I was looking at results 1 to 40...

similar observation, this page...says I'm looking at results 1 to 40 yet am seeing results in the 600's

Where are you seeing that? When you hover your mouse over the page your on? Mine is showing like posts through 660 here?

At top of this thread page, it says "results 1 to 40" ...and shows several pages which are hyperlinks...and show that I'm on page 1of 17 ... and this page shows posts 665 thru 626

Point is I would anticipate it would say "results 665 to 626"

am using Firefox.

Are you sure you're not confusing pages with posts? The numbered links at the top and bottom of threads are pages, and the numbered links to the right of each post are posts. For example: This reply is post #667 on page #67 of this thread.

He is talking about the section at the top-right corner of the "post area" as seen in the screenshot below:

I know, and never had any problem understanding it myself because nearly all forums use a similar format, so I wanted to make sure he wasn't confusing pages with posts. Granted, I failed to mention the "results" portion in my reply, but it's obvious (to me anyway) that it's referring to posts.

your screen shot is accurate regarding the area I'm discussing.

However, in my case, it shows results (posts) 1 to 40 while the posts on the page are actually in the 600's....thus, it differs from the screen shot in that way. I consider the screen shot to be accurate. I consider what I see to be inaccurate (but certainly not a earth shattering issue)

I actually understand what it is talking about and am able to ignore the incorrect information and have been doing so for some time...just thought I'd mention it.
