Wholly jeez does my engine ever sound better and meaner too LOL. It seems to be much more responsive as well. The injector cleaner really did the trick I can't believe it. Anyways Jacques MERCI BEAUCOUP for all the help especially going out of your way to scan a page in the engine manual for me. I really really appreciate all of your help guys. This project would have been much more difficult had I not had the resources of this forum and the good people in it.

I'm so glad to have gone through the whole engine because I did find quite a few problems. It was also a very good hands on learning experience.

Congratulations on getting it going.

I found that adjusting the valves made a huge difference in how my engine ran and how easily it started.

A little black smoke is normal.

Looks like your valve train video is rather low on oil up there. Seems to me only times I have had valve covers off and running engine you were well coated with oil on everything close by. Mostly car type applications and small engines but yes oil was flinging about pretty good vs your video...

Well a car has hydraulic lifters and the oil comes up each push rod whereas on these tractors the only oil passage is a small hole maybe 1/16 diameter at one end of the rocker assembly. After speeding up the throttle oil was coming out pretty good but it wasn't splashing around. In the video I had just re-assembled the rocker assembly and had cleaned all the oil up.
