The SOL you are talking about it the fuel cutoff sol, it actually SHOULD pull in turning the fuel ON to the injector pump when the KEY is turned ON. When the key goes OFF a spring should pull the lever the opposite direction and kill fuel stopping the eng.
The Glow Plugs should pull close to 40 amps (for 4 of them) if they are same as the ones used in the 3 cyl JM as the 3 cylinder pulls 30 amps (roughly 10 amps per plug when COLD as heat builds amps go down/resistance goes up.) The Buss Bar that connects them all together should be removed and each GP ohm checked individually. Compare each plug to the others to see and their readings should be very close to one another.
