Found a good tractor toolbox

I have been looking for a bigger toolbox for my tractor for a while, and found a good option while shopping for waterproof storage boxes for my boat. Plano makes some nice cases (various sizes) and the side-hinged lid works out really well when mounted behind a seat. I ended up getting their large case for my boat and the medium case for my tractor. The large case comes with a tray that I don't need in the boat, so I swapped it into the medium-sized tractor box for improved organization. Small box was $16.50 at West Marine (surprisingly they had the best price around, even beating Amazon by $6). Here are a couple pics.



The underside of the box isn't flat (lip around the edge) so I used a small piece of 1/4" Starboard sheet (polyethylene marine lumber) on the bottom:



That also should stiffen up the bottom quite a bit.

Plano makes good products and it's the right color without having to paint it!

What's the flat screen in front of the FEL loader stick ?

I've got to replace my OEM tool box. Not deep enough for a roll of TP or paper towels. I've got both large(50 cal) and small(45 auto) GI ammo cans but the Plano looks really nice.

I was going to mention about it being so clean also. But maybe he just spruced it up for the pics for us. Not even any dust - and the groves in the tires are spotless. I'd almost bet there has to be dirt somewhere in Virginia - ha,ha.

I got a new tractor this fall. The tool box was ok, but too small so I wanted to replace it. I found this one for $19.95. It is perfect and l liked the design too.

I was going to mention about it being so clean also. But maybe he just spruced it up for the pics for us. Not even any dust - and the groves in the tires are spotless. I'd almost bet there has to be dirt somewhere in Virginia - ha,ha.

Funny thing -- I had to leave the tractor out one day last weekend while I wired up some lights in my barn. It drizzled off and on all day and I ended up wiping it down with a rag before I pulled back into the barn, and darned if it didn't look brand new! About the only time this tractor gets cleaned is when it's out in the rain for some reason.

Those are meant for your owners manuals too! The shape is perfect to keep manuals rolled up for easy access. Several of my implements came with the cans attached too.

Super popular for adventure touring motorcycles. They will hold an MSR 1 liter fuel bottle, or tools. I have 3-4 of them. Wipe the graphics off with acetone.
