Freedom Hitch

Chad - really an interesting hitch setup and it really looks easy. You mentioned "expensive" if more than one implement. Can you mention the price? Did you ever compare it to Pat's easy change system. Granted, the Freedomhitch also includes hookup to the top link at the same time but with my implements, I usually have to adjust the turnbuckle anyway. Thanks - Clyde

I have seen something similar at least in the way one part fits into the second. They were solid triangular pieces of steel, the implement part was folded along the upper sides of the triangles. I believe there was a link to them in an old thread, but it was years ago. /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Look at this one. Jiffy Hitch It appears you can use the Cat II Tractor Male connector to connect to either Cat I or Cat II implements female connector.

Jerry,
Thanks, you are correct. I just remembered to add the "systems" and was about to edit the post.

Expensive is $195 for the tractor adapter, $195 for each implement.

I'm not really interested in Pat's, seems if I have to get off the tractor anyway, I've never had a problem lining up any implement for these little tractors, so don't see the benefit.

Now, take a Cat III implement, a quick hitch is almost a requirement...but then all Cat III implements will take a quick hitch, even new Cat I implements are about 50-50 at best.

Here is another one, I don't remember the price on this one. It has been a while since I checked. Bubco

I use the Freedom hitch on a Kubota L3710. Works well with the box blade and medium duty brushcutter. Makes the hookup quite easy ans has been worth the investment. Yes I would buy one again. I think the price is about $200.00 per male or female part. I have a bought another one to use on my BX23 but have not tried it yet.

Just talked to Freedon Hitch and they only have Cat I units left for sale. They have stopped making Cat II systems and will stop making Cat I's when they run out. He says there is just not enough demand to keep tooling up to make them.

With my new Kubota my lower 3PH arms unlatch and slide in and out about 3 inches. Wouldn't this make attaching the 3PH way easier than it use to be? (New L5030 tractor on order, haven't tried them yet)

I sure hope so,

Yes the extendable links make it easier to hook up implements but you with the freedom hitch you just back up and hook up from the seat of the tractor. You only need to get off to attach the PTO shaft of the implementif it has one. The changing of implements is quicker and doesn 't require shifting or wiggling the implement into position for hookup. Sorry to hear they will no longer be making this fine product.

Does the Freedom Hitch hold up well. I'm purchasing several new items with my tractor and they still have Cat. I items available.

Do they really work as easy as it show they do?

We had a member, MarkC that was a strong advocate of Freedom Hitch. He modified EVERYTHING and got every bit of power out of EVERYTHING. He never had any problems with them and loved them.

Just received my Freedom Hitches, One for the tractor and 6 for ALL my implements....

I just started to install them tonight, It rained me out, they are really heavy duty and built nice. I think they are going to do a great job....

I have used the freedom hitch for over 2 years and have had no problems with it. It is a very durable well built device. You will definitley see the advantage of the freedom hitch once you use it particularly with the heavier implements that are used for your size tractor.
