FRESH roasted coffee beans by mail?

GIS lists two in Laconia, Wayfairer and Woodshed. And about a dozen others, of course nothing near Sunapee.

I remember from my home roasting days way back, that green beans could be stored up to two years without really degrading. I never stored that long, but didn稚 think anything of leaving them for months at a time.

I feel that my appreciation for great coffee has gone way up since then. I used to roast for fun and because of the fresh flavor, but now I feel like I can稚 drink anything less (which sort of sucks in a way, but it is what it is)

How long are you guys keeping your beans green for? Do you order every month or so, 6 months, etc?

I have kept green beans for over a year before roasting (there was some Monsoon India that I just loved), but I usually order every 6-8 weeks. Mainly is it a function of how many green beans I want to store and how much money I want to lay out in one order.
