Note that neither tractors nor cars/trucks use this kind of gear in their differentials. At least as far as I have seen. If anyone has pix of a differential ring or pinion gear made like the OP's hub gear, please post it. Whether it is my Kubota or my Toyota pickup, you are going to find machined ring/pinion in the diffs, and careful attention to tooth contact patch will be necessary in any repair.

That's what we're trying to say for a couple posts now.

Those sintered gears are only used on the final drives of the front axles on tractors that don't use planetary drives.

No, but I drilled them on my drill press, worked out OK and I still had real safety wire from my aviation days.
And have the safety wire pull/twist tool so they also look real pretty, LOL.

Also will add that I still had my Millbar safety wire pliers to do the job.
They make nice neat twists every time.

Actually at one time I had about 150 pairs of those Millbar's from a surplus source.
I paid $1.00 each at the time and sold them easily to my aviation buddies.
Also did great mail order sales via a trade magazine called 'Trade-A Plane'.
Good old days!

I note that those pliers are like gold at the current price. ($140.00)
