Ever heard of or seen a New Holland TV145 Bidirectional Tractor?
It is a hydrostatically driven, 4WD, articulated steering, 105 PTO HP tractor that can be ordered with 3PH and PTO and SCVs on both ends (engine end, cab end). With the hydrostatic transmission, it goes just as good in "forward" or "backward" directions.
Although at first glance it might look like a conventional tractor layout, the operators station in the cab actually rotates 180 degrees inside the cab enclosure. Therefore, you actually face in which ever primary direction you are currently moving.
The physical TV145 brochure's show it set up for haying. The tractor is being driven in "reverse" with a MOCO header attached to the rear 3PH of the tractor (now the leading edge), the cab turned to face the rear of the tractor, and the tractor towing a second center pivot MOCO off the front end of the tractor (now the trailing edge). Basically, it is cutting double the hay in one pass.
Any way, I stumbled across the TV145 at New Holland dealers in Longmont Colorado and Wheatland Wyoming and thought it was a completely unique and utilitarian tractor.
