I was wondering If anyone could give me some advice. I'm in the first stages of building a loader for a gardentractor I have(ac 620). I was looking on this site and saw some very good designs. I have a good idea of what I want for a finished product. I would like to use rectangular tubing for the arms and frame. Was wondering if 2x3 with a 3/16 wall would work? too big too small too thick too thin any answers or suggestions would be a great help. Thanks /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

2x3 with 1/8 walls would be fine, 3/16 even better.

Not sure how your AC compares but I am using 2x2x1/8 box for my loader on a 12HP wheelhorse

I think someone made a loader using the exact smae metal dims as you plan to at Machine builders Lots of info there.

People generally use 3x3 box for the uprights for added hyd fluid capacity if you are planning to use the uproghts as the fluid tank

Good luck and be sure to post pics of progress

Hope this helps
