Finally made it out to the barn a took a few photos

I did some more research being that this blade weighing in at 500 pounds
Most owners are not using it in the float position. They letting it “rest”
On the shoes and use the loader control. I will give it a try next snow storm

I went to my local kubota dealer today and ordered a rubber cutting edge for the front blade
I should have have it in a few days

I don't float my fel mounted ssqa plow, except in certain conditions. For relatively flat runs I set the blade down so only the weight of the blade (not fel arms) is on the pavement, and adjust as necessary. When the grade changes (like cresting a hill) I will sometimes float the fel briefly, but more frequently when going downhill approaching an incline where the unfloated fel will really dig into the surface. Hope that makes sense...
