front pto kit for 186D

Good evening
I have a yanmar 186D and I wish it had front pto for a snow blower.

I've been trying to find if there is aftermarket parts that can be acquired to make this happen ?

Due to physical limitations I'm unable to look behind my tractor to blow snow.

I would appreciate any input.

Not trying to side step your question and I will defer that to experts, but have you considered some heated mirrors? I can of other times that you might want to see behind you...

The odds of finding a kit to install a mid or forward-facing rear pto are very low. The tractor has been out of production for several decades. So the odds are really against it.

The other option would be to look at one of the Bercomac self-powered blowers for small tractors.

They start at around $5000. So, it might be less expensive to try finding another tractor which has the correct pto setup. And possibly, one which includes a snowblower.

Did some browsing, and the mid mount mower on the Yanmar186 was belt driven off the rear PTO. So it might be a matter of finding a drive pulley which goes on the PTO shaft, and finding a way to mount and support a shaft going forward. More do-able than finding a midmount kit which mounts into the transmission. But if you don't find a donor with the midmount mower to cannibalize the pulley and support for the pto shaft heading forward, it will be difficult.

I run a Aux. Hyd. pump off the crank shaft pulley for a FEL.. On a old ford. If your blower is Belt driven a straight shaft should be easy to setup. Bolt a adapter to the Crankshaft pully straight to the blower Etc... Head and neck also so bad they Cert. me. Turning to look behind you is rough. I've thought of a mirror which I've seen factory option on a few old Yanmars!! The YM186 used the same front PTO kit as the 180, 187, 220 and 226.
So I'm sure there is a good used on out there, just a matter of finding one.
I will check out some of the boneyards and PM you with what I find.

Not much to it. Wagner early 60's A handful of bolts 6 I believe and removes the whole all the FEL. intact. Same setup as Stiener. Then the Pto. would attach to it. JD. Blower setup Insert the main shaft then Attach the Quick connect Shaft. Then easily off for warm weather season.

I was thinking about adding this on the Prev. reply and just happen to run across it. If your having to run a high Eng. Rpm. to might be worth adding. Something to think about. Org. from the north but been in the south since the Mid. 70's. Never used a Tractor blower but shoveled my share that's for sure! Seen one used also 150$ asking price used. Looked to be the same one!
