/ Front snowplow bracket help #52
I just read thru this post as I am thinking about attaching a 7' plow to the front of my 2120. I was thinking of bolting the push plate to the part of the front end loader that goes under the front of the tractor. It(the loader bracket) is bent up already from someone's previous abuse so I would use the push plate to straigten it also and leave the pushplate on to prevent further abuse unless I find the brackets hang down to much and get in the way. If so I could take the push plate off in the summer. My concern is will this bracket on the loader take the stress. There is a sticker on it says don't use for towing, but it sure looks like a solid/simple way to connect and the stress from plowing won't be as bad as the hammering I give the front end loader from time to time. I will try leaving the bucket on and hooking a chain on it to lift the plow. The plow is set up for manual angle and I will leave it for now till I see if this contraption will work. I own a campround with about a mile of gravel road and I would like to keep it opened up this winter if I can. I have a 4wd with plow but think this tractor/plow setup will save wear and tear on the truck.
