Front tire chains on 3720 with R4 tires

regarding the hose support------------------I did order a front mounted snowblower so perhaps the wire support came with that. We have had very little snow in northern Minnesota to date but the temperatures have been above normal right around 30 degrees during the day. That has resulted in very slippery conditions and I am very pleased with the steering control of the 3720 with front chains now. I am currently using loader arm mounted blade because the road is still wide enough so I don't have to blow the snow over and beyond the banks.

SNOW... whats snow. I dont think i have ever seen the stuff....at least this season:laughing:

Here are some pictures. The loader hoses are not a problem. I hope that shows in the pictures. The 90 degree elbow on the power steering does get very close to the chains on the right hand side of the tractor. I have programmed myself to avoid the very sharpest right hand turns. Next year I plan to put the front tires in the wide position and that should give me a little more clearance.

Mine will just touch the steering cylinder rod, in the most extreme, where the hydraulics are howling turn. so I just avoid that.

Regarding flipping the front rims, I did the rears, cause I needed that little extra clearance for the rear chains. But when I tried the front, it looked way out of whack. The rears are hardly noticeable, but the fronts did not look good, big difference when you flip the fronts, at least on my 4310. Not sure if it's even recommended. I left mine on the regular way.

I flipped the front's on my JD110, too. They looked kinda funny... dished out. But, I wanted that extra clearance for the chains. The question of rim strength/hub bolt strength crossed my mind.

Four years and just over a thousand hours - it's all good!

Before the 110; I had already used my JD970 for just over 4 years with the rims turned out like that. Chains in the winter, too. Left the rims like that year around. No problems. Just made sure that the bolts were torqued and tightened in a "star" pattern.

I've gotten used to the fronts flipped around and have not had (knock on wood) a problem on my 4300 (either with ruining rims or handling chains)

There are some different shapes, but for my 455 hitch part number M96981 is what I use.

The model 3720 square loop is LVU17400

Note from my dealer: LVU17400 is $72.70 M134828 from a 59 snow blower is $20.00 Both are hose supports

I had him order the M134828 for me. I hope it's the right one.

There is also a Ubolt type hose retainer on the loader frame that mine did not have. I plan to add this now that my hood is pretty much rubbed through the finish...
