Front Wheel Hubs

I have a YM1601D and the YM226D manual I am reading says that at 600 hr intervals I should "Renew front wheel hub grease".
Does anyone know what this entails?

Probably wants you to repack the front wheel bearings ( in grease ).
Ive seen people pack them by hand, or they sell a little plastic job that you put around the bearing and squeeze grease into it.
The real experts will also probably answer, but I think I am on the right track.

I think that is refering to the 2WD model. I think on the 4WD axle the bearings are immersed in 90 weight oil. The manual calls for changing the front axle gear oil every 300 hours.

For some reason I wasn't seeing the "D" and had assumed he had a 2wd model.... I think I need more coffee..

Many thanks, folks. It is a 4WD, so I will just change the 90 wt oil at the appropriate interval. I checked it and it is clean.

kn6md is my call sign, but I use it so infrequently I made it the username in my e-mail address so I won't forget it.

Sounds like there may be a few radio amateur/Yanmar enthusiasts.

If you think about it it makes sense. Yanmar owners usually need to be a bit 'handy', and amature radio op's are generally the same way... we make our own arials, etc...
