Frost Free Yard Hydrant leaking down below

/ Frost Free Yard Hydrant leaking down below #31
My water as a fair amount of iron in it. You can't taste it but it will leave an orange stain on siding, bathtubs, toilet tanks, etc.. In the spring when I open a hydrant after sitting all winter, I'll get a blast of orange water out of the lines. In my case its just the rusty sediment that settled out of the water over the winter.

Thanks all, I get a small an=mount of "dirty water" each time I use it (daily) but based on your responses, I am pretty confident it's just allowing a small amount of dirt in while not in use. It was not new when I putt it in, the hydrant was left behind by the previous owner of this place. It seemed good and does work well so I am not going to worry about it this winter. Maybe I will dig it up in the spring and put a new one in. It got cold this week but no leak yet like last year.
