Yanmar FX24D replaced with Massey GC2400
The fuel filter housing is susceptible to damage from below. Doing some downed tree clean up I caught a branch between the frame and motor it hit the FF housing. It rotated 90 degrees breaking off the output nipple.

It's a simple fix. Just one bolt for the housing and two snap rings for the fuel lines, and it's off and ready to be replaced. The tractor is sitting in the workshop waiting for a replacement part. I used a fuel filter, replacing the original housing assembly, to get it started and moved to the shop.

BTW you can lose your fuel.

fwiw a massey 1532 also can, and will, act like this. and a GC1725MLB can act like this.
also a 2015 GC1710. As well as a (mine) 2010 GC2400.
I digress.
branches are evil.
