That may be sulfer or other crud out of the fuel, the amount of sulfer in the fuel was dramatically decreased in the early 2000s (in preparation for Tier 3 and 4 engines and their emissions equipment) .I have an old John deer 2 bottom plow with a single acting cylinder to lift and gravity down is what I was thinking about.
I probably wouldn't use that on this tractor though. I was just thinking about its uses. Since the front pump is there and already has the diverter valve for front or back I may never need it. I suppose the constant pumping is on one of the two side levers at a specific position. They are stamped for different positions but I need to scrape the paint off to read them better. I Didn't know about that feature though.
I've had my hands full with replacing steering lines , fuel lines and the wiring so far.
Then I took the injectors apart without marking position.
What I don't know is how a bunch of hard crusty black stuff got past the filters clogging one injector line and filling the area around the springs on the other two injectors . Its gritty. When I put the seal kit in the injector pump it was in the pump body also. Does that off road diesel fuel do that. It may have sat for a few years without running at some point. 10 years , I m guessing. The fuel return lines were blocked up completely. I had to replace them. It was running on 2 cylinders.
What does diesel fuel do if it sits for years.

good, what did that cost, though, and was it cheaper to do that than buy a new set of injectors??..I shipped my fuel injectors to [ thepumpguysc ] and he set the pop off pressure for me. His 30 years of experience came through.
My 203 starts and runs great. I can idle down to 700 rpm's And up to 2000 smooth and clean exhaust.
He's an honest helpful and experienced guy. I will refer others to him for injector pump rebuilds.
He sure helped me out of a jam.
Thanks To pumpguysc and all others who gave advice here. You broke through my hard head.

very good!..It cost around 37.50 for shipping. Pumpguysc didn't charge me for setting them. I intend to send enough on Thursday's payday for him to go out for dinner. He said payment wasn't necessary but I believe in showing some appreciation. I think he makes his money rebuilding pumps.
I don't think these injectors can be bought new. I did find a price listing for $450 each but not available. There is a guy that sells used ones for $55 each. Not bad but you don't know what your getting. You can buy new nozzles online for $25 each. That's not bad. My nozzles were ok after cleaning.
These injectors have a large casting
