Fuel prices in your area? -Feb. '08

North east Ohio - $3.15 Reg. and $3.59 for on road diesel.

For the past month or so I have been paying 3.31-3.35 for onroad diesel. Its been sitting at 3.31 for last couple of fill ups. Yesterday morning I noticed the price had dropped to 3.27. In the afternoon it was 3.55!

OUCH!

If the lakes that supply Raleigh and Durham NC don't fill up this winter I wonder what a gallon of water is going to cost! Glad I'm on a well. The large lake I drive across has filled up so that its a bit over its normal pool. But one of the lakes an hour north is still 8 feet feet below normal pool.

Talk of having to drive in tanker trucks full of water to use for the evaportative HVAC systems. That will cost a small fortune. The fuel cost will be onreal.

Road Diesel is averaging $3.50 a gal. in southern NH

Does it strike anybody odd that the Govt. is concerned about the chocolate manufacturers fixing prices but doesn't seem to be concerned about fuel prices?

No, the govt has investigated this numerous times and found no evidence of price fixing. Just because McDonalds and Burger King charge about the same for a cheeseburger isn't evidence of price fixing.

Gas here shot up last night by 9 cents a litre (36 cents a US gallon) to a new high of $1.19.6 a litre ($4.78/gal).

Here in Ireland... 1 US gal (3.78 litres) road diesel = $6.61usd (€4.46euro).
