Fuel Prices!

Now I don't entirely believe everything I hear from the news media, but I heard on the radio yesterday that the wholesale price of gasoline had gone down 8 cents a gallon. Then I noticed that the service stations in the area had lowered their prices by 4 cents. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

The price of bulk oil has dropped from about $40 per barrel to about $25 per barrel and the Dow is up about 1000 pts. since the shooting started so it's only a matter of (short) time til the prices of gas drop to within reason.

Right before the price of fuel REALLY spiked over 1.50ish per
gallon I saw a market contract price of about 1.04 per gallon
in 1,000 gallon lots. I saw a news report last week that had
the price down to .89 per gallon.

The question is will the price keep falling or spike back up! /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

During my travels this past Saturday I saw one place selling diesel for $2.059 per gallon /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif Where I get mine is still at $1.999 per gallon...

Last weekend in the Maryland suburbs of Washington, DC I saw diesel at $2.199. Hopefully that was "special diesel" priced for Mercedes and BMW's not tractors. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Gas is dropping here in Minnesota, I just paid $1.75 for diesel. Down from $1.99.

Rack prices are coming down but I suspect retails will be a little slow until the Iraq situation settles down. I saw wholesale prices drop over 20 cents the past two weeks but with the market tumbling today and the barrel sky rocketing I suspect wholesale prices will begin to rise again on the short term twarting a retail price drop.
