Why are you out in the shed???
Murph, all I can say is it sure beats the dog house... /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif
Just curious, was that TIG or MIG welded?
JD2210va, it's TIG. Would like to have a MIG but don't do enough welding to warrant having one. TIG is nice for me because it is quiet and odorless, so I can weld in my basement during winter. I don't weld enough to worry about the argon displacing too much O2, and do open a door now and then (basement above ground) just to be sure.
Dolo, never welded with a MIG. TIG is neat in that you actually melt the metal in advance of adding the filler, so you are pretty sure you end up with a sound weld and good peneration. Hope saying that does not jinx my welds!
Gcrabb, I will attach a photo of the wheels on my landscape rake. It is a KK kit and just bolted on. For the blade, I bought a couple 2.5 inch pieces of mechanical tubing as I mentioned above, and "hung them in space" similar to the position they are on with the rake.
Egon, the picture you posted a while back of your rear blade and wheels was the inspiration that got me moving on adding wheels to mine! /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif
FredS, will the extra six inches on each side be enough with your
L3130? I found myself wishing for a little more sticking out the side beyond my tires when using the blade in the dirt yesterday. I think a 7' behind my
B2910 would give me that, but I am not sure if a 7' behind a
L3130 would.
The wheels enable the blade to be controlled so it takes very light cuts, so it looks like a blade that would be too big (wide) for ones tractor could be used for things like snow/light scraping when wheels are attached. Just a thought...Guess I will have to try that 6' blade on the BX and see what happens...
