It's never too quick -- you thinks wrong.

Actually, the original poster is correct. The signs at the gas stations use neither dollar signs nor decimal places, so 209.9 is more accurate than $2.099.

Your picture is so small, it's hard to see if a decimal point is there or not -- but 9/10 of a cent IS there which is of course 0.009 -- sorry Andy, try again.

209.9 cents is equal to 209 9/10 cents, reflected accurately on the gas station signs.

I could post more examples of signs without decimal points and dollar signs if you would like, but that would further my point. You may be wrong this time!

... so 209.9 is more accurate than $2.099.

Uh, 209.9 cents is EXACTLY equal to $2.099 -- so not sure how one is 'more accurate' than the other.
