Interesting TLBs on the Pug site! I have seen Pug before but never knew they made a TLB.

Henry...

Not for nothing... but almost $13,000... /w3tcompact/icons/eyes.gif

I think I'd consider buying a small compact tractor and trailer to do the wood hauling and use the tractor for 1000 other uses... before I could justify that expenditure... /w3tcompact/icons/frown.gif

I got so excited over that $13,000 Pug... I signed in with my Dad's name... {but he's Jr...} /w3tcompact/icons/grin.gif

But... as long as I'm back...

I'd buy a Chinese MFWD tractor and trailer for $7k before I could justify the $13K for a PUG or equivalent...

Maybe... I just don't get it.../w3tcompact/icons/crazy.gif

If I could get one of them for nothing Ill take it/w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif But i dont want to go to jail. Would rather buy a refurbished John Deere 530 Johnny Popper /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif if it was my money. It sure is a lot different that the rest of them.

We have a gator and a ranger at work. I don't have much time with the gator but I talked to some folks that have used it. They all seem to be saying the same thing (it doesn't have any power). The property at work is very hilly and can get really muddy. They said they are not happy with its performance in these conditions. On the other hand I do use our ranger a lot. The thing goes like a tank and has a push button to engage the 6 wheel drive. It seats two people comfortably. It has a top end speed between 30 - 35 mph. The only complaint I have with this machine so far is the noise. We have a soft cab for it and it is very loud inside. Our machine is equipped with a soft cab, ladder rack, cargo boxes and a grille guard. We paid just under $10,000. I have no experience with the mule. Hope this helps

Six,
Do you have the 10 hp 4 wheel gator or the 18 hp six wheel gator? I agree on the 10 hp one. That's the same motor my Mule had. I couldn't even pull the harrow with it. With the Gator though I can pull the harrow or the manure spreader. I do agree though that the Polaris is a great machine.

Cowboy,

It is the 18 HP 6 wheeler. The biggest complaint they have is the speed of the gator. After talking to some of the guys a little more yesterday they say that they are pleased with its ability to pull. I guess for their application they say they would prefer the ranger.

I agree with that. If I had a choice between the two it would be the Ranger. When I bought though it was $3k more for the ranger.

I've been staying out of this one 'cuz I know very little about Gators, Mules or Rangers, but I came across the attached picture of a little vehicle that looks like it could be a real time saver under certain conditions. I guess you could say it has a dump bed, too, but it's sort of up for interpretation.

I don't know the brand, but since it's white with pink trim, I'm guessing it's probably an EarthForce product.
