GC 2600

[Dan the roofer]

Hi I bought a GC 2600 today. The guy isn稚 sure exactly what year it is. He said a couple of years old! Whatever that means . It痴 super clean and has 295 hours. Is there any way to find out the year? Serial#JUC92702.

I bought a new GC2600 in 2009 and the Ser# is JUC92008

Perhaps with enough posts your tractors year can be extrapolated from that data.

I am going from threads long ago with members discussing model years for the GC2300. My memory is a sieve.
The "U" is 2009 manufacture date.
AFAIK tractors have a build date in the serial number. It may not have a model year like a car. It can be sold after several years sitting in a dealers lot, as new. It was possible that someone could purchase a new 3 year old tractor off a lot, and have the model listed as the current year (that it was sold, not manufactured), because that's when the warranty starts, etc.
