No problems here. I've had mine for about 3 months now and have about 23 hours. Up until the last couple of nights I mainly just mowed with it and it mows great. I put about 5 hours of loader work on it the last couple of nights moving dirt at a neighbor's house. It seemed to have plenty of power, but I am lacking in traction. This is because I have unloaded turf tires and no other weight. I plan to make a counterweight to go on the 3 pt., but haven't gotten around to it yet.

I haven't used the 3 pt. yet, but plan to get a 4 ft. brush hog to mow my fields a couple times a year. A guy that I work with wants to sell his 4 ft. Howse brush hog that he bought new this year to get a bigger one. Does anybody have any experience with this brand, and should I pursue it?

Glad to hear going good. Probably ought to get that counter weight soon. Not for just saftey sake but to keep the weight off the front axle.

I would say on the Howse, maybe 80% of new, can't be hurt much. Try and find out what he paid, that would help a bunch.

Just wanted to offer two words about a counterweight/ballast:

That is what I use most of the time.
Moving dirt, then spreading.
I use ballast box when hauling mulch because it is smaller.
