Yes you can ad one. They don't have a backhoe of it as of yet but you might be able to find an aftermarket hoe

Holy cow! That's a stump! Looks like this tractor will work just fine. Next question: what constitutes "good deal"? I was offered on for (his off the top of his head price) $16500. I was then informed I could get a $2000 discount from that figure if I paid cash.

I paid 13750 for my GC2400 with FEL and 60" MMM.

If you can get a GC2610(or 2410) for 14,500...............you better get it quick..........before they realize their mistake.

I looked at the GC series and the 1526 and 1529 today. All very nice. I went in thinking 1526 but for $1100 difference the 1529 looks like a better buy.

Spoke with my dealer again. He says 18.5 is the price. Less the 2k cash discount is now 16.5k. So it looks like 14.5 is no more. At least for now.

I really like my 1526. But if you have a few acres that need a lot of work I would go for the 1529 too. You have a choice of three different transmissions and a heavier loader. The engines are the same but you have a few more horsepower. I even got down and dirty when I looked and figured the price per pound. And the 1529 came in first hands down!

Was talking to my dealer last week and he told me he was told by Massey they are discontinuing the 1526. I thought no way, they just came out with it, but he said they have a whole new compact lineup coming this fall that will be final tier 4 compliant and will also have a price increase.
Anyone heard anything else?

I haven't heard anything. I know they discontinued the 1523 and 1528. I know there isn't a lot of them out there. I heard they had a slow start because of the tsunami in Japan. I sure am liking mine.

Very small but they are handy for digging out saplings and smaller stuff.

The 2410/2610 can dig up a little more than sapplings!!! I saw your previous post and responses Radrock, and I guess anything would seem small after running heavy equipment, and it sure as heck beats a shovel/pick! Thanks Don for posting that link from before...I've dug many stumps up since that picture.

I needed (and still need) a backhoe for digging stumps around my yard and for other digging tasks, plus I wanted it to be manuverable enough while cutting grass to get around all the trees in my yard. The bigger tractor would have been nice, but my 2410 is still very capable, just in a nice small package. Having never owned another FEL/backhoe, I can't say how they operate, but this little thing is pretty useful when needed. There have been times when I wish I had a bigger tractor, but with some time and effort, the task eventually gets done.
