Dave in CT & Beenthere,

I usually angle the blade rolling the snow off to the sides. If it is really deep, I start out with the blade turned around pushing the snow in reverse and then flip it around taking smaller bites going foreward. As for catching on something and causing damage, the skids help lower the chances and I really don't go too fast. The reason that I was asking about the gear range while plowing snow is to make sure that I don't damage the Hydro transmission its self by plowing in high range. I appreciate everyones comments and help! Thanks!
